What is the most recent item that you’ve added to your workspace?
The standing desk from Oakywood. My favorite addition by far.
How do you spark creativity?
I go on an inspiration hunt before starting a project, whether that be for video or 3D design. Anytime I find something that speaks to me, I save it in My mind (mymind.com) for later reference. Over time, I have gathered this immense collection of interior photos, photographs, and cinematic shots that I can pick and choose from to create my own work.
What went into your recent workspace remodel? What were the must-haves or learnings from your previous setup?
I wanted something brighter to fit the living room space where the workstation is situated. I had been window shopping for standing desks for a while, and I ended up going for one from Oakywood. As someone who cares deeply about design, I couldn’t picture myself going with anything else. I’ve worked with furniture for a while now, and the quality of the tabletop matches many of the Danish design staples. I opted for a slightly wider desk, although it doesn’t feel larger because of the lighter frame.
A lot of time was spent on cable management. While I’m working towards becoming a laptop person, it’s a leap I haven’t taken yet. Until then, cable spaghetti will be the bane of my existence.
