Louisa Gareiss is an iOS Engineer from Germany. She is currently building Walk, an app that lets you sync your walks to Apple Health.

› What is the most recent item that you've added to your workspace?

I added a LEGO bonsai tree to my desk - it brings a sense of calm and balance to the space.

› What is one change you'd like to make to your current workspace?

I’d like to replace my Apple Magic Mouse with the Magic Trackpad.

› What workspace tools or software are critical for your day to day work?

For my day-to-day work, the software I can’t go without includes Xcode for development, Photoshop and Figma for design, and Apple’s Calendar, Notes, and Mail for staying organized and up to date. In terms of tools, my setup centers around a Mac mini paired with a Studio Display, with a Field Notes always nearby for jotting ideas, and my iPod, which I use to keep music separate from my work devices so I can stay focused without distractions.
