What we look for

01Real setups only

No staged or stock photos. We want your actual working space, messy cables and all.

02At least one photo

A clear shot of your full desk is enough to apply. More is better, but one will do.

03An interesting story

You work on something worth knowing about: a product, a project, a craft. It doesn’t need to be famous.

04We’ll handle the rest

If you’re selected, we’ll reach out to collect your full gear list, bio, and interview answers.

2 to 4 sentences. Who are you, what do you work on, and what makes your workspace interesting?
Optional, but encouraged: a link to your setup photos (Dropbox, Google Drive, a portfolio, or an image post) helps us review faster.

What happens after I apply?

We review every application. If your setup looks like a good fit, we’ll reach out to collect your full gear list, bio, and interview answers before scheduling a feature.

How long does it take to hear back?

If you’re selected, you’ll hear back within a few weeks. We get more applications than we can feature, so not hearing back doesn’t mean your setup isn’t great. Timing and editorial fit play a part.

Do I need a big following or a famous job?

Not at all. We’ve featured retired dentists, indie makers, and first-time home office builders. We care about interesting setups and genuine stories.

What photo quality do you need?

A modern smartphone is fine. Natural light and landscape orientation work best. One clear shot of your full desk is enough to apply, and we’ll ask for more if we move forward.

Is there any cost?

No. Workspaces is editorially independent. We don’t charge for features, and we don’t accept payment for coverage.

Can I nominate someone else?

Yes, we love reader nominations. Note in the bio field that it’s a nomination, and include how to reach them.
