What is your favorite item in your workspace?
Given my reliance on Zoom meetings, I could not live without the combination of the logitech BRIO and the MuteMe button. Quick, easy, and high quality audio makes all the difference in investor discussions, business development meetings, product demos, etc.
How do you spark creativity?
Cleanliness inspires me. While I thrive under pressure, I think my clearest when I have a clean and organized workspace.
How do you manage work-life balance?
The pandemic combined with the challenges of running a young, venture-backed startup have made work-life balance difficult. The two areas where I can truly unplug are trail running and spending time with friends. Since moving out of Manhattan, making social plans has become more purposeful - enabling me to disconnect completely when I’m away from my desk.
What do you think is the main benefit of remote work?
I have spent the majority of my career working remotely. My prior employers were almost always headquartered overseas and I was separated from the core team. Thus, the main challenge for me in the recent shift to remote work is more about managing a fully remote team. Asynchronous tools, better written documentation, clear and regular communication are all keys for success. Remote work can be challenging for some companies but if focus and effort are put in here, you can uncover tremendous areas of productivity and freedom.
